Smart new feral rabbit management resources released

Earlier this month, the National Feral Rabbit Management Coordinator, Heidi Kleinert, proudly showcased the new Glovebox Guide for Managing Feral Rabbits – a practical, easy-to-use resource designed to support landholders on the ground.

Now in its third edition, this updated guide comes at a critical time, with many landholders facing increasing pressure from feral rabbit populations. It offers clear, practical advice to help manage rabbit populations more effectively and reduce the damage they cause.

Heidi says, “This new edition is for anyone with a rabbit issue. It provides the latest in best practice rabbit management for land managers Australia-wide. It sets out information on how rabbits live and breed, outlines options for control – including biocontrols, describes monitoring techniques, and helps landholders develop a cost-effective rabbit management plan for their local situation.”
