Board Vacancies – Non-Executive Directors
The Centre for Invasive Species Solutions is seeking two experienced and motivated non-executive directors to join our skills-based Board. These positions will be filled at our Annual General Meeting on 19 November 2026.

We are looking for forward-thinking, commercially minded individuals who can help guide CISS in delivering national impact on invasive species management. Candidates should demonstrate one or more of the following:
- High level, relevant experience with biosecurity stakeholders and processes associated with Federal and/or jurisdictional governments
- Demonstrated philanthropic skills supporting improved revenue generation in for-purpose organisations.
- Governance and Board Experience
- Commitment to CISS’s Mission and Public Value
About CISS
CISS is Australia’s collaborative research, development and extension organisation focused on preventing and managing the impacts of invasive species across our natural, agricultural and urban landscapes. We work with governments, industry and research partners to develop innovative, science-based solutions that support effective biosecurity and sustainable land management.
Appointment highlights

Term: Three years, with the possibility of renewal for a further three years

Commitment: Quarterly Board meetings (face-to-face and virtual), subcommittee meetings, preparatory work, and occasional additional sessions or events
